Learn How to Culture (Chaetocerus sp.) at Green Mussel Hatchery. #OJT

Friday, August 31^st 2018. Still about mussel (again), we were started our OJT today with learned  how to siphoned the larvae tank with Ms. Dona, if yesterday when we were siphoned nursery tanks the water must be changed 100%, but in larvae tank only 50%.

After that we learned about How to culture Chaetocerus sp. but at this time we had different version with culture CC at shrimp’s hatchery.

1. The tool that will be used need to disinfected first. 
2. Add 250 ml sea water into the long neck. 
3. Add 200 ml of the culture of phytoplankton (Chaetocerus sp.) into the bottle (starter).
4. Add 250 ml sea water again.
5. Add 1 ml of fertilizer (CONWY) and Silicate Disodium.
6. After that add the air hose for the aeration and cover it with cotton as a filter from any dirth things, and then cover it again using aluminum foil for more savety and also used an air connector for connecting each air hose, than we connect air hose to the aeration. Don’t forget to use a label, and we can scale up after 3 days culture.

After we finished our OJT we back to our room and went to Scholar’s loung for finished our report. Then I back to my room. Surprise! My friends aka my buddies gave me a birthday surprise, today is 31 August 2018 m officially turning 20 years old!, no more teen years old, im so happy, because they gave me surprice, i can’t describe how much happy I am. Thank you Mom Mosura, kristyl, phen phen, lyka, etc, im so happy today.
